Irish designer Simone Rocha became one of the main participants of London Fashion Week after showing her first collection in 2010. Making her debut just nine months after graduating from Central Saint Martins, she created her own signature aesthetic: a combination of traditionally feminine elements, such as pearls and lace, with the rough textures like in her favorite horror films. Simone grew up in a religious Ireland, so she constantly cites Catholic traditions in her collections. The Simone Rocha brand is often described as "feminine": the designer successfully conveys femininity from a modern point of view, contrasting soft silhouettes with structural forms.
